What is error correction in QR codes?
Error correction allows QR codes to be scanned even when partially damaged or obscured. Level H can recover data even if 30% of the code is missing.
What's the maximum data a QR code can store?
Up to 4,296 alphanumeric characters or 7,089 numeric digits. Longer data = denser, harder to scan QR code.
Can I put a logo in the center of my QR code?
Yes, but use at least Level H error correction to ensure the QR code still scans correctly with the logo covering part of it.
Are QR codes free to use commercially?
Yes. The QR code format patent expired in 2015. There are no licensing fees for generating or using QR codes.
